Yesterday, I became the proud owner of a Chicago library card. Finally. I have tried to get a library card since I moved here but the library has this crazy rule about being a resident with photo ID or a bill in your name. This month I finally met the requirements.
Now, I fear for my bookshelves. I've been doing really good at reading my own books and getting rid of them. This library card may put a damper on my goal of reading all my unread books before moving next fall. Yikes.
Based on my current collection, I need to read 6.5 books a month till next September. I do not see myself reading 6.5 books a month but I may attempt to read 6.5. I know that some of the books I currently have I will not like. It happens. Many of them are old review books that I've put off or books that others have given to me. I anticipate not liking all of these.
I finished all my September Hit List books. Yay! So I started Stephen King's 11/22/63 last night. I. Am. Loving. It. Have you read it?
I also pulled out my October Hit List books. I decided on a theme. I pulled 7 of my old unread review and unsolicited books. My guess is four of them will be started and not finished. Fingers crossed.
